Autumn

harvest time on the farm

You will remember this amazingly colourful season for a long time.

Just imagine walking through a colorful landscape, passing golden larches and giant chestnut trees. And at the end of the day a traditional „Törggelen“ evening will be waiting for you.

„Törggelen“ is an autumn tradition lasting from early October until early December and entails savoring the new wine along with seasonal dishes in snug, rustic surroundings.
Farmhouse inns open their cosy „Stuben“ - wood paneled living rooms – to ramblers, offering grape juice („Siaßer”) and new wine („Nuien“) from their own vineyards, along with speck, roast chestnuts and dishes from South Tyrol.
You can enjoy a hike on the „Kastanienweg“ or Sweet Chestnut Trail exploring the Ritten. Passing historic settlements, old churches of different epochs and ruins of castles you will come to the famous Earth Pyramides.
